mORstaff Ltd has been providing perioperative and healthcare experts throughout New Zealand since 2012. Since then, we’ve grown to become the country’s foremost healthcare casual contracting agency.     Onboarding & compliance

    The mORstaff team ensure all our New Zealand contractors are suitably qualified and experienced for the Australian healthcare industry.

    mORstaff ltd is registered to obtain Police Vetting reports for all our contractors for the purposes of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014. 

    As part of our Health and Safety compliance as a PCBU, mORstaff asks for the relevant following information to review before accepting a contractor onto our books for placement with our clients. We maintain an audit database for compliance certification and require all contractors registered with us to regularly update their documentation as follows

    FAQ

    Where can I work if I join mORstaff?

    You can work anywhere from Kaitaia in the far North to Invercargill in the far South – We have nationwide service contracts with Health New Zealand, Southern Cross Hospitals and most private hospitals across NZ.

    How do I join mORstaff?

    We make it easy! Please send us your CV and APC and we will connect with you to guide you through the other compliance documentation we need, you will most likely already have the majority of what we need from previous employment.

    What does being a “Contractor” mean?

    You will be self-employed (also called a sole trader) and we work as your agency – Join us and experience the benefits of professional contracting, no one will dictate when and where you work, you have the independence to decide your hours of work to suit your availability!

    All you have to do is to let us know when you are available and we will find you the work, do all the planning and provide you with all the information and support you need.

    How do I get paid with mORstaff?

    You are paid fortnightly into your nominated NZ bank account for your previous fortnight’s worked hours; ON TIME, EVERY TIME!

    You just submit your approved timesheet/s to us and we ensure you are paid promptly, providing you with all the information needed to comply with IRD requirements.

    Does mORstaff pay my tax for me?

    We deduct your nominated With-Holding tax each pay day and forward this to IRD on your behalf, your With-holding tax is added to your income tax. We can either provide you with pay records if you have an accountant for your end of year tax return (where you also are able to utilise your business expenses as a tax deductible expense), or we recommend the use of HNRY click on this link.

    HNRY will help you pay your other obligations (Student loan, kiwi saver, ACC and possibly GST), HNRY also assist you with your business expenses (such as your APC/indemnity insurance) to ensure you get all the contractor benefits in real time – rather than at the end of the financial year.

    What support does mORstaff provide for me?

    A dedicated bookings manager available 24/7 if required

    All the information about your client you need to ensure you will be well prepared for your booking.

    Any air travel and accommodation bookings and payments where applicable.

    Access to all the paperwork you need, like time-sheets, induction forms, reports regarding H & S issues.

    Ongoing support from all the mORstaff team to answer any questions you may have.

    Does your hospital need temp staff?

    We have experienced and professional Anaesthetic Technicians, OR/PACU and Ward Nurses, Sterilising Technicians and RNFSAs ready to assist you when you need their help.

    If you need a very specific skill set then we can help with this too – we have the knowledge to match the experienced contractor to the specialty position you need filled on time, every time!

    If you need staff urgently for a list tomorrow, for a few days, or over a much longer period, we will go the extra mile to place the right experienced professional with your team.

    How do I book and confirm shifts?

    We are available 24/7 to ensure you can get help when you need it – all bookings can be made either by text, email or calling us to discuss your needs – we will get to work immediately to find the ideal contractor for you.
